Two Arrests Following London Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident

This incident resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
